LESSON PLANS
We selected the most engaging math subjects and sports topics based on feedback from students and middle school Math teachers from across the country.
Conversion from fractions to percentages
In this lesson, we define "clutchness" in mathematical terms and convert fractions to percentages to decide if players are "clutch."
Decimal comparison and number line
In this lesson, we represent the quality of a hitter with decimal statistics and practice using decimal comparison and number line visualization to resolve the lefty/righty debate.
Subtraction of decimals
In this lesson, we subtract decimals to assess if having the designated hitter increases the number of runs scored in baseball. Additionally, we offer some fun hot-dog-themed exercises!
My Story
I'm Kfir, a high school student in Tenafly, New Jersey. I have decided to channel my unbounded passion for mathematics and sports into something more productive than endless debates with my family and friends -- to create middle school math lessons for teachers. My hope is that these lessons will make Math more relevant and interesting resulting in more students discovering for themselves the beauty in Math.
